The 70th annual IPRA/ACRA Cassville Rotary Rodeo will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16, at the Bill Hailey Arena, Business Highway 37 North in Cassville.

Sign-ups for Monett Mighty Mite football and cheerleaders will be held July 12 through July 14 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett. Registration will begin at 6 p.m. the first two days and run 9 a.m. to noon on July 14. Sign-ups will also be taken on July 13 at football camp, at the field house, next to the practice field. Mighty Mite camp will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on July 23 through July 26. For more information, call Sean Kelley at 235-9700.

A dinner to raise funds for fireworks for the Rocky Comfort community will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at the Body of Christ Outreach Ministries Church, The meal is $5.50 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. For more information, call 417-499-8004.

The Pleasant Ridge Special Road District commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 18 at the Pleasant Ridge School House on Highway Z.

A crafter's group meeting will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 16 at Mocha Jo's, 404 E. Broadway in Monett. Participants are encouraged to bring their cross stitch, knitting, crochet or other projects. Those wishing to attend are urged to call 417-498-2202.

The Purdy baseball and softball tournament for boys and girls 12 and under will be held June 25 through June 28 at the Purdy ballfield. There are four age divisions for boys and three for girls. Registration is $125 per team. Each team is guaranteed three games. For more information, call Joshua Hughes at 417-342-1312.

The Waldensian Presbyterian Church will hold its annual ice cream social on Thursday, June 28, beginning at 6 p.m. Homemade ice cream, pies and cakes, sandwiches and drinks will be available.

Voters in Barry County are reminded by Clerk Gary Youngblood that the last day to register to vote in the Aug. 7 primary is wednesday, July 11. Registration may be made at the historic courthouse in Cassville. Address changes need to be recorded. Absentee voting will begin June 26. Requests for absentee ballots can be mailed to Youngblood at 700 Main St., Suite 2, Cassville MO 65625 or faxed to 417-847-5311. For more information, call 417-847-2561.

The Barry County Council on Aging will elect officers on Wednesday, June 20. Ballots can be cast from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at senior citizen centers in Monett, Cassville and Shell Knob. Sharon Madison, Sue Horn and Sandy Hartley are currently running for elected office.

An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. on Monday, June 18 at the First United Methodist Church in Monett, in the fellowship hall. The Red Cross is in urgent need of O positive, O negative, A negative, and B negative blood.

A suppertime breakfast fundraiser to pay for fireworks for the Rocky Comfort Community will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at the Body of Christ Outreach Ministries in Rocky Comfort.
