Family descendants of Carl and Anna (Schad) Miller gathered on Sunday, May 27, at Grant's Restaurant in Monett. Family memories and a meal were enjoyed by those attending.
Old pictures of ancestors were viewed and new group pictures were taken.
Carl and Anna were German immigrants that settled in the Stone's Prairie community, northwest of Purdy. The family farm was just north of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Barry County. It was designated a Century Farm while granddaughter Shirley Haskins and husband, James, lived there.
Six children, John and Carl Miller, Emma Farmer, Gus Karnes, Bert Farmer and Delia Stebler were born of this union.
Absent from the reunion were two grandchildren, Verna Mae Nations, and her brother, Gene Miller, who died earlier this year in February and April.
Those attending were: Joyce Moser, Diann Ison, Pauletta and Mike Orahood, Carolyn and Henry Taffner, all of Lamar; Darrah Gardner, of Carthage; Nicholas Stebler, of Jasper; Jim, Sharon, Alan, Earl and Luann Miller, Shirley and James Haskins and Loraine Staponski, all of Monett; Terry and Margie Burch, Evelyn and Robert Hutchens, Jana and Jake Shetler, all of Springfield; Cathy Everest, of Prairie Village, Kan.; Connie, Carolyn and Bob Bishop, of Cassville; and Alan Lilleoien, of Leawood, Ks.
