Robert David Cartee, 52, of Monett, Mo., formerly of Marshall, Mo., died on Saturday, June 2, 2012, in rural Pulaski County.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to River Rats Floating Society. Born Oct. 28, 1959, in Waverly, Mo., he was the son of the late Robert Farrell Cartee and Bernice Agnes Melies Cartee. He was a 1978 graduate of Marshall High School and following graduation, he moved to southwest Missouri where he spent the remainder of his life. He managed numerous lumber yards over the years, most recently working at T.H. Rogers Lumber Company. Robert was an avid fisherman, hunter, and a proud member of the River Rats Floating Society. He was a longtime supporter of the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Missouri Tigers.
Survivors include a sister, Debbie Coleman, of Marshall, Mo.; three nephews, Jason Coleman and wife, Jackie, Dusty Coleman and wife, Brenda, Aaron Coleman; one great-nephew, Brock Coleman; one great-niece, Kinsley Coleman; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of friends.
