The Pierce City Library is gearing up for some special Summer Reading Club programs, beginning the first week in June.

The kick-off the summer reading program is Dream of Magic by master magician D.J. Edwards, on Wednesday, June 6, at 1:30 p.m.

The first teen program is Dream Journals on Wednesday, June 6, at 3:30 p.m.

The Crafternoon Delights book club for our adult patrons will have its first meeting on Tuesday, June 5, at 4 p.m., in the library meeting room. Those attending can bring their favorite handicraft to work on while discussing a favorite books.

New DVDs include: A Smile as Big as the Moon.

Adult fiction titles include; "Redwood Bend" by Robin Carr; "Thunder and Rain" by Charles Martin; "Antiques Disposal" by Barbara Allen; and "Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons" by Eric Litwin.

One youth book title includes: "Nancy Clancy, Super Sleuth" by Jane O'Connor.

Sign-ups for the summer reading club may be made any time. Forms are available at the front desk.

Business hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
