The Dorcas Ladies Aid met on May 3 at Trinity Lutheran School in Freistatt. Judy Lehde, president, welcomed 17 members and one guest.
Nadine Obermann gave the worship on Mother's Day and Marjorie Harris presented the program on the origin of Mother's Day.
Those serving the memorial luncheon following the funeral of Erwin Kottmeyer were: Doris Meyer, chairperson, Thelma Barnes, Delphine Hesemann, Shirley Stanford, Erna May Doss, Orville Meyer, Blake Stanford and Lorn Barnes. They served 41 people.
Dorothy Osterloh is making a quilt for the mission committee to auction at the bake sale on the evening of the church picnic. Proceeds will benefit the altar fund.
The birthday song was sung for Shirley Brandt and Connie Prater.
Cards were signed for Cheryl Brown, Aletha Smialek, Selma Kleiboeker and Laura and Alvin Aufdembrink.
Decorations featuring a "Go Fish" theme will be used at the fall rally at Trinity Lutheran. The rally committee approved a budget of $150 for decorations, favors, drinks and rolls.
Harris closed the meeting with a poem entitled "Mother's Hairpin."
Lehde thanked hostesses Osterloh and Prater, and the meeting adjourned.
