A Memorial Day crash has left a Marionville man dead.
The crash occurred at 9 p.m. on Monday on Highway 60 at Verona when the driver of a 2009 Harley Davidson, Donald H. Jenson, 52, of Marionville, ran off the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
Jenson was pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County Coroner Scott Lakin.
This is Troop D's 39th fatality crash for the year and the seventh for the month of May.
* A Shell Knob man was injured in a Memorial Day crash that occurred at 7:50 a.m. on Highway 39 about two miles south of Viola. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2010 Ford Focus, Vernon T. Bowman, 54, of Shell Knob, crossed the centerline and struck a 2003 Dodge pickup truck, driven by Hannah R. Brobston, 22, of Cassville. Bowman was taken by private vehicle to Skaggs Hospital in Branson with minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.
* A Cassville youth was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday at Farm Road 1240 about two miles west of Shell Knob. The wreck occurred when the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu, Chance L. Henson, 16, of Cassville, failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned. Henson was taken by ambulance to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with moderate injuries. Henson was not wearing a seat belt.
* Two people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred at 2:50 p.m. on Friday on Highway 60, about two miles east of Monett. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2010 Kia Forte, Laurie A. Hency, 36, of Pierce City, stopped to make a left turn and was struck from behind by a 1993 Toyota Corolla, driven by Lillian V. Hay, 17, of Aurora. Both drivers were taken by ambulance to Cox Monett Hospital with minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.
