The drive will wrap up locally on June 9. Boxes can be dropped off at UMB Bank on Broadway, The Bayou restaurant, the Monett and Pierce City armories and Family Pharmacy.
"I would also like to thank First State Bank and all the others who continue to support this effort and our troops deployed overseas in combat," said the retired sergeant who has organized the local drive. "Also, thanks to all those who have helped in the past. "Let's show Springfield and the Ozarks how Barry and Lawrence counties get things done"
