Pierce City painter Becky Golubski will be one of the featured artists for the June Artwalk in Springfield on Friday, June 1. Her work will be shown at the Fresh Gallery, 400 W. Walnut, at Walnut and Campbell.
Golubski's primary focus for the past six years has been canine art and pet portraiture by commission. Her show at Fresh Gallery will focus on oil and pastel paintings and an assortment or pet portrait cards and gi'glees.
Golubski also explores plein air painting and landscapes using oils, in addition to her impasto technique applying thick layers of paint with a palette knife.
Known for her soft, vibrant buttery pastels, Golubski has won numerous awards. She has exhibited at local artwalks and juried festivals. She is a founding member of the Pierce City Arts Council, which holds its fourth annual event on June 9. Golubski serves as one of the new directors of the 16th Thomas Hart Benton Four States Regional Art Show and Exhibit at Crowder College.
Golubski will be at the Fresh Gallery from 6 to 10 p.m. on June 1.
