Crash injures two

Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash shortly after noon on Tuesday on Chapell Drive at Highway 60 in Monett.

According to the police report, the driver of the westbound Hyundai Sonata and the eastbound Chevrolet HHR both claimed to have either a green arrow to turn or a green light. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, with the HHR hitting the Sonata broadside with its front end.

The driver of the HHR and a passenger in the Sonata both received minor injuries and were taken to Cox Monett Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Sonata was not injured.

Officer Tom Jaglowitz asked anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call him at the Justice Center at 235-4241.
