PCHS presents performance awards

Awards for student performance at Pierce City High School were presented on Tuesday, May 8, at the high school cafeteria.

Michael Adams received the A+ certificate, National Honor Society award, Missouri Southern State University scholarship, 4-H Day with the Cardinals, Missouri State High School Activities Association athletic scholarship, and the United States Marine music scholarship.

Britnee Baird received the A+ certificate.

Drew Boursheski received the A+ certificate, the National Honor Society award, the United States Marine scholastic scholarship, the Pierce City High School ACT Merit scholarship, the Shelter Insurance scholarship, the Ridpath-Carver scholarship, the FFA Booster Club scholarship, the Scotttish Rite Foundation, the University of Missouri Curator's scholarship and a high school science award.

Ian Brottlund received the A+ certificate, the United States Army Reserve award, a Missouri State University scholarship, the University of Missouri - Columbia College of Engineering scholarship and a Missouri S&T scholarship.

Chad Forgey was the recipient of the A+ certificate and the National Honor Society award.

Alicia George received the A+ certificate.

Nicole Gilmore received the A+ certificate.

Megan Golubski received the Missouri State High School Activities athletic scholarship.

Brittany Gouker received the A+ certificate.

Reetha Haase received the A+ certificate and the Pierce City Decatur Lodge scholarship.

James Harrison received the A+ certificate.

Erica Holland received the A+ certificate.

Jake Horner was the recipient of the A+ certificate.

Makina Kelley received the A+ certificate, the National Honor Society award, the United States Marine athletic award and the Earle and Roseanne Staponski scholarship.

Jeff LaMastus received the FFA Booster Club scholarship.

Kayla Landoll was the recipient of the A+ certificate.

Kelsey Lawrence received the A+ certificate.

Kyla Linder received the A+ certificate.

Nick Mercer received the A+ certificate and the Doug Weatherly academic scholarship.

BreAnna Morris received the A+ certificate.

Brittany Morris received the A+ certificate.

Kaelyn Osborne was the recipient of the A+ certificate and the Doug Weatherly athletic scholarship.

Curtis Palmer received the A+ certificate and the United States Marines athletic award.

Mattie Parrigon received the National Honor Society award, a high school science award and a Pittsburg State University scholarship.

Gabrielle Phillips received the A+ certificate.

Sara Stearns received the A+ certificate, the National Honor Society award, the United States Army Reserve athletic award and a Missouri State Southern University scholarship and a high school science award.

Katelyn Thompson received the A+ certificate, the National Honor Society award and a high school science award.

Seth Thompson was the recipient of the A+ certificate and a National Honor Society award.

Jennifer Velten was the recipient of an A+ certificate, a National Honor Society award, a Drury University scholarship, and the Doug Weatherly athletic scholarship.

Rebecca Velten received the A+ certificate, a National Honor Society award, and the FFA Booster Club scholarship.

Jade Winsea was the recipient of the A+ certificate, the National Honor Society award and a Missouri Southern State University scholarship.

Brittany Young received the A+ certificate, the FFA Booster Club scholarship and the National Honor Society award.

Elizabeth Younker received the A+ certificate, the National Honor Society award, a high school science award, the Doug Weatherly academic scholarship, the Masonic Merit scholarship and the First State Bank scholarship.

Amanda Zabala received the A+ certificate.

High school students were also recognized for their contributions to the school, assisting in office duties in the absence of the secretary. They include: Heart Huffman, Kimber Vanzandt, Makina Kelley, Megan Golubski, Kaelyn Osborn, Brittany Young, Katelyn Thompson and Libby Younker.

Top foreign language students were named: Kimberly Vanzant, Libby Younker, Jude Winsea and Stephanie Skaggs.
