Monett Mayor James Orr signed a proclamation on May 8, declaring that "Drug Court Month" should be observed during the month of May.

The proclamation recognizes the significant contributions the Barry and Lawrence county drug court programs have made toward reducing substance abuse, crime and recidivism while saving valuable resources.

Drugs are doing so very much damage to our Country, our families and our economy. I'm glad people in authority are recognizing this and doing something.
