PC Eagles down Sarcoxie, 4-3

The Pierce City Eagles baseball team scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to advance to the semi-finals of the Class 2, District 12 tournament at Ash Grove with a 4-3 victory over Sarcoxie on Saturday.

Pierce City scored single runs in the second and third innings to build a 2-0 lead.

The Bears answered with a run in the fourth and two tallies in the top of the sixth inning to take a 3-2 advantage.

Pierce City's Bo Vincent tied the game in the bottom of the sixth with a RBI double and the scored on an error to give the Eagles the lead for good.

Mike Vincent earned the victory for the Eagles. He pitched seven innings allowed five hits and two earned runs, struck out four and walked three.

The Eagles will face Miller, a 6-4 winner over Ash Grove, in the the semi-finals today. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
