The Zion Cemetery Association, located at Highway 39 at Honey Creek, will hold its annual decoration and business meeting on Sunday, May 6. Decoration of graves will be held at 1:30 p.m. with the business meeting to follow at 2 p.m.

Art Haines, Missouri State University radio broadcaster, will be the guest speaker at the quarterly night meeting of the Kiwanias. The event will be held at 7 p.m. on May 15 at Big Baldy's in Monett. The public is invited to attend and the cost will be $10 per person.

The Monett High School band will present a spring concert at 8 p.m. at the Fine Arts Night on May 12 at the high school gymnasium.

Challenged Champions Field Day, a special field day event for challenged students in Barry and Lawrence counties, will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 12 at the Pierce City High School football field. Activities will be modified based on the participant's abilities. If an aide is required, they will have to be provided by the participant's family. Each participant will receive a T-shirt, medal and a ribbon.

Body of Christ Ministries, in Rocky Comfort, will be hosting the Builderbacks in concert, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 12. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call 417-652-3709.

A project to repair damaged overhead trusses on the Shell Knob bridge, on Route 39 at Table Rock Lake is scheduled to begin Monday, May 14, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. The repairs are expected to be completed by May 24. Drivers can expect one-lane traffic across the bridge where crews are working.

Barry County Youth Camp is currently accepting donations for shoes, swim suits, shorts and tops for children, ages 7 to 10. Donations can be dropped off at Bremer Machine Shop in Monett, located at 202 Seventh St. or call 235-3211 or 235-3929.

The Monett FFA will hold an agriculture greenhouse sale from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, May 11 and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 12 at the agriculture greenhouse located at the Southwest Area Career Center. For more information, call Tamra Sunby at 235-7022 or e-mail tsunby@monett.k12.mo.us.
