Verona boys take third at conference meet

The Verona boys track team took third place in the Ozark 7 Conference track meet on Tuesday.

Southwest took top honors scoring 188 points. Wheaton finished second with 138 points, and the Wildcats recorded 97 points.

First place

* 100-meter: Colt Pruente, 12.15.

* 200-meter: Pruente, 24.2.

Second place

* 100-meter: Wesley Kissinger, 12.17.

* 400-meter: Brent Downs, 1:00.3

* Long jump: Kissinger, 19'11".

* Triple jump: Kissinger, 37'6".

* 4x100 relay: Pruente, Oscar Avilla, Ascencion Estrada and Kissinger, 47.7.

Third place

* 4x400 relay: Downs, Cody Musick, Seth Losack and Hilton Avilla, 4:10.7.

Fourth place

* Discus: Tomas Estrada, 76'5.

* High jump: Devon DeLano, 5'.
