MO Dept of Ag-USDA Market News
The holding pattern continues for the most part. Corn has been the focus
for many producers and soybeans are going in the ground ahead of schedule
as well. First cut alfalfa is showing 9 percent cut according to the April
22 Crop Progress report and grass hay at 5 percent. Few sales are being
reported as both buyers and sellers are busy with other aspects of their
operations. Prices are steady, demand is moderate, supply is light.
