   Compared to last Wednesday, breaking and boning slaughter cows sold steady
to 1.00 higher and lean cows sold 2.00-3.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold 2.00
higher. A couple recent events have increased the demand and prices for both
lean slaughter cows and slaughter bulls. There was a moderate supply of bred
cows and cow/calf pairs. Supply was heavy and demand good for slaughter classes.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and
3rd stage 950-1350 lbs most 1050.00-1250.00, few better quality 1300.00-1425.00,
1st stage 1050-1175 lbs most 900.00-1100.00, couple indiv. 1150.00&1175.00;
broken mouth to aged 3rd stage 1075-1225 lbs 820.00-1025.00. Large 1-2  4 yrs
to short and solid mouth 1380-1475 lbs 1160.00-1300.00, 1st stage pkg. 1440

rebred 1650.00; broken mouth 1110 lb cow w/190 lb calf 1200.00. Medium and
Large 2  3 yrs to short and solid mouth 800-1100 lb cows w/babies to 135 lb
calves 1025.00-1150.00. Medium 1-2  3 yrs to short and solid mouth 900-1025 lb
cows w/babies to 220 lb calves 1150.00-1300.00; broken mouth couple pkgs. 875-
