Construction is underway on a new station for the Monett Rural Fire Association. The building will incorporate the concessions and restroom building erected for the Monett Chamber of Commerce's livestock pavilion donated by EFCO Corporation, which purchased the land from the chamber. According to the permit issued by Building Inspector Wade Ennes, the 3,604-square-foot building will be a shell for housing firefighting equipment. Metal Buildings, Inc. is expected to finish construction within a month. [Times Photo by Lisa Craft] [Order this photo]
