Several points of major business are planned by the Monett City Council for the April meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 19.
A contract will be considered for selling the Gymnastics Center to the Monett R-1 School District. An employment contract for a school resource officer will also be finalized between the city and the school district.
A preliminary plat will be introduced for an addition to the North Hills subdivision.
Certification of the April 3 election results will be made, and council members will be sworn back into office.
A new ordinance will be introduced amending the city code on garage sale regulations for not-for-profit organizations.
A resolution will be passed authorizing the city to submit its $12 million bond issue for the water treatment plant to the State Revolving Fund for low interest financing.
An agreement will be considered with Sullivan Publications for a compliance review updating the Monett city code.
Mayor Jim Orr will ask department heads to provide updates on the latest activities by city employees.
