The ladies of St. Lawrence Catholic Church of Monett will host the annual salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25 in the parish hall. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased from any of the ladies or purchased at the door.

The Monett Jaycees will host a coed softball tournament at noon on April 28 at the Monett North Park ball fields. The event will benefit the Monett Relay for Life. For more information, call Randi Willhite at 417-574-6933.

The Barry County Area Retired School Personnel Association will meet on Friday, April 27. Social time will begin at 10 a.m. and the business meeting will follow at 10:30 a.m. The program will be presented by Jan Powers, past MRTA president and Vickie Orr, Region 9 vice-president.

The Purdy FFA Greenhouse is currently selling plants. Purchases can be made at the greenhouse or from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 21.

Silver Teens will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 19 at the Monett Senior Center, located on Dairy Street, to car pool for supper at Olive Grill Restaurant in Aurora. For more information, call 235-9978.

A community prayer event will be held at 6 p.m. on April 27 at Monett City Park. Churches from Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas will participate. Games for children will begin at 3 p.m. For more information, call 417-489-6558.

The Barry County Republican Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24 at Steak Inn in Shell Knob. Sarah Steelman, candidate for the United States Missouri Senate, will be the speaker. Candidates who have filed on the Republican ticket for the August election will be at the meeting. Seating is limited.

The new Marionville Farmers Market will hold a vendors sign-up session at 2 p.m. on April 21 at the gazebo on the square in downtown Marionville. For more information, call 417-463-2925.

The Lawrence County Gospel Sing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 22 at the McKinley Christian Church. All singers and musicians are invited. The church is located four miles north of Marionville on Highway 14.

Registration for Little Mr. and Miss Crowder will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 at the Crowder College Community Building in Cassville, located at 4020 N. Main St. The pageant is a preliminary pageant for the Misses of Miss Missouri Pageant for ages 4 to 17.

The Dogwood Trail Garden Club of Shell Knob will host the annual flower show from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 2 at the Shell Knob Community Building. Admission is free.
