Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 higher with the
greatest increase on lean cows and slaughter bulls sold 2.00-4.00 higher
with the greatest advance on high-dressing bulls. A couple recent events
have helped push prices for lean slaughter cows and bulls to record levels.
The supply of bred cows and cow/calf pairs was very light. Supply was
moderate and demand good for slaughter classes.
