Crowder Quill to host annual awards ceremony on May 8

The Crowder Quill, the literary and art magazine of Crowder College, will host the annual awards ceremony with a second annual campus and community-wide poetry reading. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8 in the Wright Conference Center on the Crowder College campus in Neosho.

The public is invited to attend. The event will include the announcement of those whose entries were chosen to be published in the 2012 edition, awards presentations and the magazine unveiling.

Local winners of the contest include: Kim McCully-Mobley, of Aurora; Katelyn Brisco and Marcia Morgan, both of Cassville; Ben Lesue, of Monett; Samantha Holland, of Pierce City; and June Tippett, of Shell Knob.
