The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. on Monday, April 16 in the fellowship hall at Monett First Freewill Baptist Church, located on the corner of Central and Sycamore Streets.

A spaghetti dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on April 19 at the Hobbs-Anderson American Legion Hall, 717 E. Broadway in Monett. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryout is available. Proceeds will go toward the Legion youth programs.
The Purdy Branch Library will host a folk and Ozark music and storytelling presented by Dwayne and Barbara Smith at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 14 at the Purdy Community Garden. The Purdy School District will hold a kindergarten roundup from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 12. Parents should take a copy of their child's birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency. Parents will have the opportunity to pick up or return enrollment papers, sign up for a screening appointment, tour the classrooms and meet the kindergarten teachers. The Pierce City annual spring City-Wide Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, April 14. There will be no map. Participants must put up their own signs. Downtown sidewalks may be used pending permission from the property owner.
"Night with the Stars" dinner, dance and auction will be held on Saturday, April 14 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett. A social and a silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the meal will be served at 6 p.m. Tickets are $40 per couple or $20 for one. Proceeds will benefit St. Lawrence Catholic School.
