Monett High School will hold a parent support meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11 in the commons area to discuss upcoming student events. Parents are invited to attend.

A spaghetti dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on April 19 at the Hobbs-Anderson American Legion Hall, 717 E. Broadway in Monett. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryout is available. Proceeds will go toward the Legion youth programs.

Purdy Schools Kindergarten Roundup will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 12. Parents need to bring the child's birth certificate, shot records and proof of residency. For more information, call 417-442-3217.

Aurora Fibromyalgia Support Group will meet at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, in the private dining room at Mercy Hospital, 500 S. Porter. There is no admission fee but donations will be accepted. For more information, call 417-678-3580 or 417-678-2666.

The Pierce City Decatur Lodge #400 will hold its annual rib dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 in the lodge hall, located at 107 N. Walnut in Pierce City.

"Night with the Stars" dinner, dance and auction will be held on Saturday, April 14 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett. A social and a silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the meal will be served at 6 p.m. Tickets are $40 per couple or $20 for one. Proceeds will benefit St. Lawrence Catholic School.

The VFW Ladies Auxiliary #4207 will host a game night fundraiser from 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 15 at the VFW Post home banquet room, located west of Monett on Highway 60. Proceeds will go toward the LAVFW District #7 Department Line Officers Fund and Auxiliary #4207.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, Lawrence County Route P will be closed at the railroad crossing north of Verona from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11. Burlington Northern-Santa Fe railroad crews will be repairing the crossing.

The Barry County Genealogical and Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. on April 16 at the Barry County Museum, south of Cassville. The public is invited to attend.

The Monett Water Thrashers are looking for swimmers ages 5 to 18. Those interested need to be strong swimmers, be able to swim one length of the pool unassisted and be able to pass the red-zone swim test in the deep end of the pool. The Pierce City annual spring City-Wide Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, April 14. There will be no map. Participants must put up their own signs. Downtown sidewalks may be used pending permission from the property owner.
