Monett High School will host a parent support meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11 in the commons area to discuss upcoming events. Parents of students are invited to attend.

The Purdy School District will hold a kindergarten roundup from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 12. Parents should take a copy of their child's birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency. Parents will have the opportunity to pick up or return enrollment papers, sign up for a screening appointment, tour the classrooms and meet the kindergarten teachers. The Pierce City Decatur Lodge #400 will hold its annual rib dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 at the Lodge Hall, located at 107 N. Walnut in Pierce City.

Appointments for Pierce City pre-school and kindergarten screenings are now being accepted. Eligible pre-school students must be three-years-old before Aug. 1. Kindergarten students must be five-years-old before Aug. 1. Parents will need to provide immunization records, Social Security numbers, a state birth certificate and proof of residency. The Monett Kiwanis Club will meet at noon on Tuesday, April 10 at Happy House Restaurant in Monett. Bonnie Witt-Schulte and Jack Schultz will speak about Monett's 911 system.

The Pierce City annual spring City-Wide Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, April 14. There will be no map. Participants must put up their own signs. Downtown sidewalks may be used pending permission from the property owner.

The 10th annual Easter Concert will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 8 at the New Site Baptist Church, located at 1925 Farm Road 1060. Doors open at 4 p.m. The Lesters will be performing and admission is free. An offering will be received.

The Barry County Genealogical and Historical Societies will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 16, at the Barry County Museum, located at Highways 112 and 76 south of Cassville. All members and guests are invited to attend.
