Rose Staponski

Rose Anne Staponski, age 81, of Pierce City, Mo., died on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Freeman Health System West in Joplin, Mo. Mrs. Staponski was born in Purdy, Mo. on Saturday, March 7, 1931. She was the daughter of John and Nettie (Pozniak) Feeney.

Mrs. Staponski was married to Earle Staponski on Saturday, April 29, 1950 in Pulaskifield, Mo. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1995.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include one son: Randy Staponski and wife, Denise, of Wentworth, Mo.; one daughter: JoNelle Moennig and husband, Larry, of Wentworth, Mo; one brother: Clarence Feeney and wife, Ola Jean, of Springfield, Mo.; five grandchildren: Amber and husband, William Carr, Christopher and wife, Amanda Moennig, Candra Staponski, Jace and wife, Jordan Staponski and Blake Staponski; and two great-grandchildren: Noah and Seth Carr.

Rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2012 with visitation to follow at St. Mary's Church in Pierce City. Funeral Mass will be held on at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012 at St. Mary's Church with Father Peter Morciniec officiating. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Pulaskifield, Mo.

Memorials may be made to Pierce City Senior Citizens or to Pierce City Scholarship Fund c/o Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
