Senior Airman Jared Caton, a 2004 Monett High School graduate and son of Richard and Donna Caton, of Monett, is serving in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller at the Osan Air Force Base in South Korea. On Tuesday, Caton experienced a high point in his military service, sending President Barack Obama and Air Force One on the way back to the United States from the G-20 summit meeting. Caton joined the Air Force in 2007 and took training to serve as an air traffic controller. He has been in South Korea since November 2011. This is the second time Caton has directed Air Force One, having managed a stop when first lady Michelle Obama passed through Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, where Caton was previously stationed.
