The "Remembering Our Fallen - from Missouri" traveling display is now in place at the Southwest Area Career Center (SWACC), located at 2 David Sippy Drive in Monett.

The display honors Missouri's young military personnel who have died in service to the nation.

There will be an honor ceremony at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, and Gold Star Mother Teresa Stark, mother of Army Specialist Christopher Stark, who was killed in action on Feb. 28, 2011, in Afghanistan, will be in attendance.

Cadets from the SWACC Junior ROTC program, shown above, awaited the arrival of the traveling display yesterday, escorted by a cadre of Rolling Thunder members and Missouri State Highway Patrolmen. Members of the JROTC will stand guard over the exhibit 24-hours a day from its arrival until its scheduled departure. SWACC will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. today through Saturday and from noon until 8 p.m. on Sunday. [Times Photo by Melonie Roberts]
