RIDING FOR A CAUSE

Members of the Monett-area cycling group, the Flat Tire Gang, participated in their first organized ride on Sunday, March 4. The 71 Classic is a 76-mile out-and-back ride that benefits the Bicycle Coalition of the Ozarks. The ride extended from the south side of Fayetteville to Mountainberg, Ark. Shown riding, above, from left, are: Dawnata Hopkins and Dondi Bass. Taking a break during their 76-mile ride on March 4 were three members of the Flat Tire Gang. Shown, at left, from left, are: Dawnata Hopkins, Larry Herschbarger and Richard Reed. The group has rides open to anyone wishing to ride every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. beginning at Cox Monett Hospital.
