The Dorcas Ladies Aid met for the March meeting in the fellowship hall of Trinity Lutheran School in Freistatt. The meeting was called to order by Judy Lehde, president.
Shirley Stanford gave the opening worship entitled "Why Lent." The group followed by singing "Come to Calvary's Holy Mountain," accompanied by Shirley Brandt, pianist.
Dorothy Osterloh presented the program entitled "The Blessing of Stress." The Mite box ingathering was led by Marjorie Harris.
Committee reports were presented and Lehde announced that she gave a training session to volunteers to show the proper way to set up communion.
Marge Harris read Connie Prater's report on the lunch following the funeral service for Earl Telschow held on Feb. 4. Those serving were Alice Helmkamp, Linda Jelinek, Edith Harmon, Judy Krueger, Delpha Bowling and Erna Doss. Nick Prater and John Bremer helped with drinks and cleanup. Prater thanked everyone for the help.
|Lena Bremer thanked everyone who helped on the mission committee workday. Fifteen quilts were finished. She thanked Erna Schoen for the quilt tops she made. Attending were: Nadine Obermann, Dorothy Osterloh, Evelyn Bracht, Lois Gaddy, Ruth Nelson, Judy Krueger, Thelma Barnes, Judy Lehde, Karen Kleiboeker, Lena Bremer, Erna Schoen and Marge Harris. One quilt was donated to the school carnival.||Bremer thanked everyone who made a donation to the annual baby shower. Three baskets and a large box of baby items, six fleece blankets and monetary donations were collected. Bremer will take the items to Lutheran Family Services in Springfield, including 20 baby quilts.|
The birthday song was sung for Grace Doss, Esther Kleiboeker, Linda Jelinek, Edith Harmon and Lena Bremer.
Lehde and Jeanne Holle Stoltz have been visiting members of the congregation.
Lehde thanked Janice Meyer and Mabel Moennig, hostesses. The meeting closed with the singing of "Savior, Again to Thy Dear Name We Raise."
