He was born on Feb. 4, 1935, to Jefferson David McCully and Josephine (Ball) McCully in Barry County, Missouri and graduated from Monett High School in 1952.
He grew up in Monett then later moved to Aurora and purchased a cattle farm. He spent 45 years working for the Frisco Railroad and on the farm. His hobbies included watching the Cardinals, hunting and golfing with his family and friends.
|He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Claudene McCully, of Aurora; two sons: Franklin David McCully and Mark McCully and his wife, Tina, of Aurora; four grandchildren: Michele, Michael and his wife, Sara, Jason and Jacob McCully; three great-grandchildren: Harley, Ty and McKenzie McCully; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.|
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Gene, James, Earl and Rosalie McCully.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, with burial at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home.
