Marie Sue Parscale Macaulay, age 75, died unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 in Henderson, Nevada. She was born on Oct. 31, 1936 in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Sue graduated from Loretto Academy, Kansas City, Mo. and then furthered her education with a degree in elementary education from the University of Arkansas and a master of arts in education from California State University, Sacramento. She was also a California state certified reading specialist. Sue was an elementary school teacher at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nev. and in the San Diego and Sacramento school districts. Sue enjoyed being a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority at the University of Arkansas and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was a parish member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Henderson, Nev. Sue was also a member of several antique car clubs with her husband, Bill.
|She married William E. Macaulay on Aug. 6, 1964. She is survived by her husband, Bill; and daughter: Laura Macaulay, both of Henderson, Nev.; one sister: Ann Armstrong, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; eight nieces and nephews; 11 great nieces and nephews; and one great-great niece. Also surviving, are her cousins: John Samples, Jim Lindsay, and Shirley Covert.||She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Oren E. Parscale and Alice Marie Parscale, of Monett; and a sister, Nikii Parscale.|
|A graveside service for Mrs. Macaulay will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Monett with Father Paul McLoughlin officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, Mo.|
