A new soloist has been added for the Ozark Festival Orchestra concert at Monett City Hall Auditorium on Feb. 26. Elizabeth Meisinger, concert master, fell and broke her arm last weekend. She will be unable to play for three months. Joining Celka Ojakangas as soloist on the Concerto for Two Violins and Orchestra by Telemann will be Kathy Murray, who is an adjunct instructor in music theory and musicianship at Missouri State University in Springfield. Ojakangas and Murray, at left, rehearsed with Music Director Ken Meisinger and the OFO on Tuesday at Monett City Hall Auditorium. The Soloists Showcase concert also features the Concerto for Two Clarinets and Orchestra by Karl Stamitz, featuring Anjanette Nowell and Janis Neher as soloists. The concert will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the Monett City Hall Auditorium. [Times Photo by Murray Bishoff] [Order this photo]
