Helen Roberta Clover, 91, of Marionville (formerly of Purdy) passed away on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 at Ozark Methodist Manor in Marionville. She was born on May 21, 1920 in Enid, Okla., the daughter of the late William and Golda (Moody) Roach. She was united in marriage to Earl Clover in 1941 and he preceded her in death on March 29, 2006.
She became a Deacon's wife in 1953 and served in many capacities at Longwood Baptist Church in Ponca City, Okla. and First Baptist Church of Purdy in Missouri. Helen also worked in the patent division at the Continental Oil Company (Conoco) in Ponca City for 15 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Purdy.
Helen is preceded in death by both her parents, William and Golda and husband, Earl.
A memorial service for Helen was held on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Ozark Methodist Manor in Marionville. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett with services to immediately follow visitation at 6 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Francisco officiating. Burial will be at Purdy Cemetery in Purdy, MO.
