MO Dept of Ag-USDA Market News
Receipts: 260 Last Week: 350 Last Year: 312
Compared to last Monday, breaking and boning slaughter cows sold 4.00-6.00
higher and lean cows sold 7.00-8.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold 2.00-3.00
higher. A high percent of the offering went to slaughter. Two of the factors
increasing demand were the limited supply due to the slippery roads, a result
of early morning snow fall, and additional interest in the slaughter classes
from the Southern Plains. Bred cows and cow/calf pairs were very limited.
Supply was light and demand very good for slaughter classes.
