Lawrence County Clerk Gary Emerson has announced the breakdown of votes from the Feb. 7 election.
In the Forest Park precinct of Monett, 246 votes were cast in the Republican presidential preference vote. Rick Santorum received 163 votes or 66 percent. Mitt Romney was second with 46 votes or 22 percent. Ron Paul had 39 votes or 7 percent.
Forest Park voters cast 13 uncommitted ballots. Hermain Cain received two votes, and Michele Bachmann had one.
In the Democratic primary, 23 votes were cast. President Barack Obama received 17 votes, uncommitted had four and Randall Terry received two.
In Pierce City, 146 votes were cast. Santorum received 89 (61 percent), while Romney had 30 (21 percent) and Paul had 12 (8 percent).
The large voting blocks showed some variance in the top recipients. Aurora had 448 votes cast and Mt. Vernon had 443. Santorum received 301 (67 percent) in Aurora and 312 (70 percent) in Mt. Vernon. Romney received 96 (21 percent) in Aurora and 63 (14 percent) in Mt. Vernon. Paul received 28 votes (6 percent) in Aurora and 49 (11 percent) in Mt. Vernon.
Freistatt voters cast 39 votes in the GOP race. Santorum received 24 (62 percent), Romney had 6 (15 percent) and Paul had 1.
Verona voters in the Spring River precinct cast 97 votes. Santorum received 63 (65 percent), Romney had 17 (18 percent) and Paul had 14 (14 percent).
None of the Democratic candidates, except Obama, got more than four votes in any precinct.
