   Compared to last Wednesday, breaking and boning slaughter cows sold 3.00-
5.00 lower with the greatest decline on early sales and lean cows sold 1.00-
2.00 lower while slaughter bulls sold 1.00-2.00 lower with instances 3.00
lower. Many of the slaughter cows were carrying excess fill. The offering in-
cluded a large number of dispersals, many from producers running short of for-
age. Supply and demand were moderate for slaughter classes.

   Feeder/Stocker Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  1 1/2-3 yrs 740-1240 lbs
89.00-115.00; 3-7 yrs 860-1205 lbs 74.00-87.50.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and
3rd stage 975-1365 lbs most 1000.00-1250.00, better quality especially from
dispersals 1275.00-1550.00, 1st stage 975-1325 lbs most 875.00-1100.00,
couple from dispersals 1400.00; broken mouth to aged 3rd stage 1200-1295 lbs
950.00-1200.00, few 2nd stage 1100-1265 lbs 900.00. Large 1-2  5 yrs 2nd stage
couple 1450-1475 lbs 1200.00-1350.00. Medium and Large 2  5 yrs to short and
solid mouth 2nd and 3rd stage 995-1150 lbs 875.00-1075.00, 1st stage 800-1085
lbs 725.00-825.00. Medium 1-2  2-6 yrs 2nd and 3rd stage 800-1050 lbs 750.00-
1000.00, 1st stage 1000-1025 lbs 700.00-825.00; short and solid mouth to aged

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth 1000-
1275 lb cows w/babies to 390 lb calves most 1300.00-1550.00, couple pkgs. cows
w/275-390 lb calves and most rebred 1600.00-1700.00; short and solid mouth to
aged 1080-1200 lb cows w/babies to 290 lb calves most 1050.00-1250.00, pkg.
cows w/395 lb calves and rebred 1300.00. Medium and Large 2  4-7 yrs 1065-1100
lb cows w/babies to 335 lb calves 1000.00-1100.00. Medium 1-2  2-6 yrs 800-
1000 lb cows w/babies to 380 lb calves and a few rebred 1000.00-1300.00; short
and solid mouth to aged 925-1050 lb cows w/newborn to 190 lb calves 800.00-
1000.00.
