February offers an annual opportunity to "share the love" on Valentine's Day. February Calendar Girl Jessica Schmidt checked out gift ideas for the occasion available at the gift shop at Cox Monett Hospital, including the chocolate roses. The daughter of Raymond and Lorie Schmidt, Jessica has been a busy senior at Monett High School. She has competed for four years on the varsity basketball and volleyball teams and is assistant basketball coach for the Monett Sparks. She is a member of Future Business Leaders of America, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, M-Club, and both the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society as a health occupations student. She is active in FFA, president of the McDowell 4-H Club and secretary of the Barry County 4-H Council. She has completed requirements in the A+ Program, is working on her certified nurse's assistant training and volunteers regularly at the Community Kitchen. Jessica has two sisters, Katie and Faith, and helps care for the two family dogs. Next year she plans to attend Ozark Technical College and study in the dental hygiene program.
