Una Sue Lavelock, age 69, of Monett, Mo., passed away at her residence on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 in her home with her loving family by her side.

Sue was born May 14, 1942 in Souder, Mo., to Emmett Kenneth and Euna Burtrus (Graham) Chitwood. She attended Huckleberry Elementary School and the Ava High School. She moved to Kansas City, Mo. in March 1960. Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, fishing, the great outdoors and traveling.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Lavelock, of the home; one special daughter: Debbie Saunders and her husband, Larry, of Republic, Mo.; two grandsons: Chris Saunders and wife, Kimberley, of Republic and Richie Saunders and wife, Ashley; one granddaughter: Crystal Mapp and husband, Nathan, all of Republic; seven great-grandchildren: Tori, Jack and Hailey Saunders; Riley and Avery Mincks; Jude and Madilyn Mapp; all of Republic; one step-daughter: Renee Lavelock; two step-sons: James and Forrest Lavelock, all of Fordice, Ark.; one step-great-granddaughter: Regina McClellan, of Warren, Ark.; three brothers: William Ingram and wife, Geraldine, Gerald Ingram and Kenneth Chitwood; four sisters: Emma Richwine and husband, Merle, of Raytown, Mo.; Elpha Behringer, of Independence, Mo.; Peggy Aguilar, of Kansas City, Kan.; and Patsy Morales of Raytown. She also leaves behind a host nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed by those that were blessed to have known her.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and infant twin siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at the Buchanan Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Morris officiating. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, Mo.
