There was standing room only during the 10th annual Dining for Diabetes fundraiser that took place at the Lawrence A. Witt Pierce City National Guard Armory last Saturday. This year's event, "Hooray for Hollywood," took in approximately $27,000 for the CoxHealth Foundation and will be used to promote awareness and education for residents in Barry and Lawrence counties with diabetes. Dan Conner, winner of over $700 in this year's Dining for Diabetes 50/50 drawing, donated the funds back to the CoxHealth Foundation. Conner, at left, was thanked for his generosity by Wayne Ridenour, right, who is one of the individuals who helped launch the annual fundraising campaign 10 years ago and remains extremely active in its continued success.
