|Virginia Kackley Bennett, 86, of Springfield, formerly of Monett, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 6:50 p.m. at Jordan Creek Nursing Center in Springfield. She was born on April 10, 1925 in Catoosa, Okla., the daughter of the late Lon and Gladys (Tharp) Scott.||She was united in marriage to Charles E. Kackley in 1946 and then in 1978 she married John Bennett, who survives.|
She was a retired mobile home park manager and a volunteer for the nursing home and Council of the Blind.
Virginia is survived by her husband: John; two sons: Rick Kackley, Plano, Texas, and Chuck Kackley, Germany; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both her parents: Lon and Gladys.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Services will be on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel with Rev. Arnold Ray Evans officiating. Burial will follow services at Monett I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
