The Board of Directors of the Monett Area Extended Employment Workshop heard about jobs for employees at the January meeting.
Director Mica Plummer said the volume of work for employees has decreased. She credited recycling programs in other small communities for reducing the amount of cardboard coming into the Workshop.
At the present time, Plummer said the Workshop plans to keep running its truck that picks up cardboard from businesses. Some collections are made on a regular basis and others when businesses call in to have a supply picked up.
Plummer said she hopes supplies continue to provide enough work to sustain the truck route. She encouraged board members to pursue any jobs that could provide employment for the Workshop's handicapped workers.
The Workshop board usually meets at noon on the second Wednesday of each month.
