Proceeds from the first Monett Turkey Trot, held Thanksgiving morning, were donated to Crosslines in Monett. Pictured above, from left, are: Niki Weber and Stacy McKenzie, event organizers and MaLinda King, director of Crosslines. The inaugural Turkey Trot netted $1,500 to benefit the not-for-profit organizations. "We appreciate everyone who turned out and supported the Monett Turkey Trot," Weber said. "Plans are already in place to host the second annual event this year, and we hope it is bigger and better." The First United Methodist Church in Monett sponsored the run.
