Elmer Lee Johnson, age 75, of Bozeman, Mont., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011.
Elmer was born on April 6, 1936 in Carterville, Mo. to Elmer Levi and Alta (Plank) Johnson. He was raised in Missouri, graduating from Monett High School. He received a bachelors degree from Southwest Missouri State.
Together with his first wife, he raised two children, Elmer Lee and Diann Michelle. On Aug. 18, 1989, Elmer married Carolyn Muldoon.
He enjoyed his work as an independent CPA in Bozeman and had been active in the Kiwanis Club and the American Legion. His favorite activities included boating, piloting airplanes and riding motorcycles and snowmobiles.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Johnson; daughter: Diann (Johnson) Dow, of Austin, Texas; son: Elmer Lee Johnson, of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren; sisters: Elner Medlin and Helen Fritz, of Monett; Mary Fortney, of Springfield, Mo. and one brother: Jim Johnson, of Monett.
Funeral services were held at Christ's Church on Wednesday, Jan. 4 in Bozeman. A private interment was held on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Bozeman.
