Drivers hurt in crashes

A Shell Knob woman was injured Saturday in a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 39 about nine miles north of Shell Knob.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 10:15 a.m. when the driver of a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, Constance N, Figgins, 62, of Shell Knob, crossed the center line and sideswiped a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by Essenia E, Bonilla, 30, of Shell Knob.

Figgins was taken to St. John's Hospital-Aurora with minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Other wrecks

* A Mt. Vernon man sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:12 p.m. on Saturday. The crash took place on Highway 97 about one mile south of Stotts City when the driver of a 1989 Honda Accord, Dempsy D. Servoss, 40, of Mt. Vernon, traveled off the left side of the road, overcorrected and ran off the right side of the road, striking an embankment and overturning. Servoss was taken to Cox Monett Hospital with minor injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.
