Jo V. Davis, of Clarksville, Ind., age 80, died on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Sarcoxie, Mo., and was a retired pre-school educator for The Temple Trager Early Childhood Education Center in Louisville. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #340 for over 50 years.
Jo was an avid lover of sports, and celebrated her 80th birthday by throwing out the first pitch at the Louisville Bats game. Jo was loved and cherished by all her friends and family and will be greatly missed by all the people she touched, especially the Thursday night Diva's.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Vernon and Virginia Bailey Bradford. Survivors include a daughter: Lisa Jo Davis (Donald) of Franklin, Ind.; two sons: Randy Davis (Lisa), of Clarksville, Ind. and Eric Bradford Davis, of Louisville; a sister: Betty Hoover (Jerry), of Springfield, Mo., four grandchildren: Jacob Davis, Matthew Applegate, Caitlin McQueary, and Kelly Davis, and her very dear friend, Ginger Baird.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at Chapman Funeral Home.
