Crews for the Monett Electric Department began dismantling and packing up the lighting displays for the Monett Chamber of Commerce's Festival of Lights on Tuesday. Colleting all the electrical wiring was the first step in the process. Crew members Dusty Feud, at left, and Charles Perez, at right, put an armload from one of the displays on the truck. According to Jonathan Holmes, the lineman who assembled the cables that power the displays, around 400 miles of wiring goes into the lighting show. Putting away the displays will likely take a week, Holmes said. [Times Photo by Murray Bishoff] [Order this photo]
