Two Monett men have been arrested on drug-related charges following the execution of a search warrant at a single family home at 103 Pearl St. in Monett on Dec. 29, 2011.
According to Police Chief Tim Schweder, 13 officers and a reserve officer executed the search warrant. Detective George Daoud's affidavit indicated officers were searching for suspected controlled substances, paraphernalia and weapons.
Officers located marijuana and suspected hashish. They also confiscated firearms and a quantity of cash.
Kevin L. Waltrip, 30, and Levi C. Breeding, 20, both of Monett, were charged with felony possession and distribution of a controlled substance. Both were transferred to the Barry County Jail. Waltrip was released on bond on Dec. 30, 2011. Breeding posted bond on Jan. 1.
