Several injured in wrecks

A Cassville woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash on New Year's Day on Highway 76 about five miles east of Cassville.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 9:20 a.m. when the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet, Melissa M. Renfrow, 30, of Cassville, skidded off the right side of the roadway and overturned before hitting a fence.

Renfrow was taken by private vehicle to St. John's Hospital-Cassville with minor injuries. She was not wearing a seat belt.

Other crashes

* A Gravette, Ark., woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Monday. The crash took place at 6:50 a.m. on Highway 112 about four miles north of Seligman when the driver of a 1998 Oldsmobile 88, John L. Thomas, 21, of Gravette, Ark., traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. A passenger in the vehicle, Tasha K. Williams, was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville with minor injuries. Both were wearing a seat belt.

* An Aurora man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday on Highway 413 just west of Springfield. The crash took place at 1:50 p.m. when the driver of a 1997 Dodge Ram, William B. Ridenour, 48, of Aurora, failed to stop for a red light and struck a 2005 Honda CRV, driven by Joyce M. Huff, 67, of Willard. Both drivers were taken to St. John's Hospital in Springfield with moderate injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.
