She passed on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, with her family by her side at her home in Monett, at the age of 76.
She was born on Feb. 23, 1935 in Cuba, Mo., to George William Clonts and Fern Lorene (Miller) Clonts. Joyce relocated to California when her children were young and started her long career in the circuit board industry. She had a deep love of family. She also loved animals, her career, gardening, music and many crafts which made for a most fulfilling life.
Joyce retired from her career after 35 years to relocate back home to Missouri in 2004. However, retirement was not an option for this lively retiree. She worked a part-time job in Monett for five years before her death.
Joyce is survived by her daughter: Linda Pickard-Bird and husband, David; sons: Dennis Pate, Vincent Pate, Robert Pate and wife, Niki; seven grandchildren: Chad, Wendy, Jessica, Kourtney, Nikolas, Logan, Lanie; and five great-grandchildren: Eli, Bodhi, Jack, Zane, Erica; brothers: Gary Clonts and wife, JoAnn; and Dorman Deeder and wife, Sheri; and David Clonts and wife, Mary; sister: Kay Jacobson; and sister-in-law: Linda Deeder.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Eldridge, her parents and brother, James Don Leon Deeder.
