A fifth person has been arrested in connection with a meth bust in Miller that took place on Dec. 9.
Shiela Benson, of 15527 Highway DD in Miller, was arrested on Dec. 12 as a result of a continued investigation into a previous meth lab bust that led to the arrest of four other Miller residents.
Benson has been charged with producing or attempting to produce methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.
On Dec. 9, Lawrence County deputies served a warrant at a home located at 15527 Highway DD in Miller, where they found a methamphetamine lab, precursor chemicals, glassware, methamphetamine, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
At that time, Thomas Woodmansee, Thomas Griffin, William Miller and Courtney Fudge were arrested and charged with producing or attempting to produce methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.
The 4-year-old child found at the residence was taken into custody by the Missouri Department of Social Services' Children's Division.
Benson is scheduled to appear before Judge Sam Jones in Lawrence County Associate Circuit Court at 9 a.m. on Jan. 12, 2012. She is free on $38,500 bond.
